Topografia per la storia has been carrying out historical research and dissemination activities on the repressive system of the fascist regime in Italy and in the occupied countries before and during the Second World War since 2015.

Topografia per la storia manages the portal campifascisti.it dedicated to the places of imprisonment and internment created by the fascist regime between 1922 and 1945. The site offers a set of interactive maps and a digital archive of historical documents, images and testimonies.

Topografia per la storia also curated the creation of the portal lavoroforzato.topografiaperlastoria.org dedicated to the forms of forced exploitation of civilians in Italy and deportees in Germany that the Italian Social Republic and the Nazi regime resorted to after September 8, 1943.

Finally, Topography for History launched a crowdfunding campaign for the creation of a digital memorial of the female internees and internees of the Arbe concentration camp; the results of the first phase of this project can be consulted at memorial-arbe-rab.org.

In addition to historical research and dissemination activities, Topography for History organizes memory trips and training courses for teachers and workshops for secondary school students on the themes of internment and fascist concentration camps.
